Little Women is a heart-warming story about family, faith, moral and hope that will not leave you indifferent. Meg,Jo,Beth and Amy,Little Women as they like to be called, are four sisters living in modest home leading a modest life. Their father recently had gone to war and they are left with their mother or Marmee as they like to call her. Pain and fear has entered their lives since their father has gone to war and they are worried about if he is even going to come back home. In the meantime,we get to explore each character's role in their family's life and how much of an impact moral, sincerety & kindness has on their lives. Meg is the calm and motherly sister since she is the oldest one and feels overprotective towards her little sisters. Jo is boyish, unconventional for a girl,quick-tempered and witty. Beth is selfless and devoted to her family's happiness and music. Amy is the youngest, childish and still tries to find her way around. They have always led an active life. Painting, reading, writing, playing or sewing. One day they notice a boy looking through the window at them and they invite him. Theodore Laurence or Laurie as Jo calls him, soon becomes more than just an acquaintance. His grandfather and he become a huge part of their lives, more like family. Laurie has a private tutor teaching him German and prepairing him for college called Mr.Brooke who falls in love with the endlessly charming Meg. Their peace is distrupted when a letter from the military arrives calling for Mrs.March urgently since her dear husband is very sick. In the spur of a moment, she is heading towards him with Mr.Brooke who joins her dearly wanting to prove that he is worthy of their daughter. The time passed without their dear Marmee feels like endless pain and suffering but they find a way around until Beth gets sick. They did not want to worry their mother so they take care of her by themselves. Not for a second did they lose their hope or will to carry on. Beth's recovery was complete when Marmee came home. An unexpected plot develops when we find out that Laurie was sending letters to Mr.Brooke to set him up with Meg who he shiped so much. Jo is out of her mind and Meg feels embarrased even though her feelings for him are sincere. At Christmas Eve,Mr.March arrives with Mr.Brooke by his side and they could not have imagined a better way to spend such a merry night. I am completely in love with this book. The thing that left me speechless is the girls' modesty. Meg once went to a ball with her friends and they laughed when she said that she has only one old dress for the dance. Even though they lent her one of theirs, she felt embarrased because her mother earned it and payed for it by working very hard and tiredlessly. She promised herself and her mother that she will never pretend to be someone else or embarrased of where she comes from or who she is. Jo learned how to be quiet and control her temper even though she found herself in very tempting sitautions. Jo was never shut down by fear or difficult situations. She inspired me the most with her determination, independence and will. Beth found herself in music and was set to be the next great piano player. Amy feel in love with painting and was determined to work in an atelier in Rome. Their Marmee was such a strong and inspirational woman always teaching them how kindness, happiness, helping & loving one another were the most important things in life. Whenever they found themselves in tempting sitautions she was there to guide them and her moral and faith were such an inspiration for me. Personally, a great many of parents should read this book to realize how beautifully and gracefully these girls were brought up. An important task in a parent's life is to teach their children how moral, kindness, happiness, modesty, love and decency are more important than fame, greed or being rich. Everyone should take a note from Mrs.March. For sure,I will never be the same after reading this book and its lessons will stay with me forever. And it proves that these Little Women are not little at all, they are set for greatness. This amazing novel is set to become a major motion picture starring Emma Watson,Saorise Ronan,Timothee Chalamet and Meryl Streep. Coming to all theaters December 25th!
